Hey Family,

This week was a really good week. So I'm still in this area and have a new companion! This was the first time I've known my companion before I got him. His names Elder Penaia. He is from Samoa. I knew him before because he was companions with Elder Scott in Iloilo and we always ate Manginasal and played basketball with him on P-day. We'll have fun though.

Anyway, this week was really good. It was kind of intense because they changed the way they do transfers so they call us on Wednesday night and then if we transfer Thursday afternoon it happens. Elder Quinantoto and I had a great couple of days. We like didn't get punted at all, even though it was raining. The Delacruz Family we've been teaching committed to come to church, and then they did, Ulyssis and Margerie and then their cousins/siblings came with them. And then also this one family we've been working with with 1 15 year old girl who was baptized last February... we've gone to them but every time they never really wanted to face us but we brought bishop there and talked to them and now they are way changed. They always gather as a family to listen and then they are reading and praying and the mom said when she did she had a way good feeling and like really light. She believes it's true! Then they all came to church on Sunday as a family! I'm way excited for them, the Rufino Family! And for the Delacruz too! We were way blessed this week. Sometimes in the past we have gotten lucky and found some families. But now we actually have some that will keep commitments and go to church. Keep them in your prayers!

Anyway, on Thursday I had to go to new Washington because my companion was leaving and also because there were some baptismal interviews. I worked with Elder Key McDonald on Thursday and we had a pretty good day. The interview was way good. That's one of my favorite parts now of missionary work. You just see someone whose been meeting with the missionaries for a while and they just share how much they've seen their lives be blessed. On Friday like all 4 New Washington Elders were sick. I woke up and like sat around hoping someone would give me food but they were all like dead. It was intense. So I had to just sit around the house all day.. it was way boring man. But at around 4 one of them were able to get up because I got to interview someone else. So it was still a good day. Then we had to go back to Kalibo to get Elder Penaia then we went home to Banga! We got home way late.. I wanted to visit some people that night but it was already almost 9 by the time we got home..

But our Saturday was way good. We taught most of our investigators and invited them to church. Like everyone we invited to church came. Even some less-actives we've been working with a while. The only disappointing thing that happened on Saturday is we shared with one investigator family 1 Nephi 3:7 and asked them what it means. They said, "To me, that means that if the Lord commands us to do something, we do it. There's no ifs, no buts. We just do it and trust in the Lord to provide a way." So it was like a perfect answer so we told them one commandment of the Lord was to go to church and committed them. They said they would... if there was no rain.. Anyway, the next day it didn't even rain but they didn't come. But, the blessing is that the Delacruz and Rufino families both came. Like 8 of them.

Anyway, I kind of had a head ache last night and am kind of sick because of the New Washington Elders.

So that's why this letter is kind of short. I'm sorry. But good luck on your Road trip and with everything.

Love,
Elder Burton
