Hey Family!
Wow! That's exciting about Jared finishing up his eagle. I actually met a little boy here who told me he was a boy scout. I told him that's cool and about being an eagle, but I don't think he knew what I meant. I guess it would be okay if you lived in Arizona, I'll let you all make the choice, but.. Grabe! It's probably really hot there! :P Also the house sounds cool. Exciting! Anyway, I got the letters from all the cousins today so I'll read that later and a package from the Wildings and Aunt Kristin! As soon as I opened it though everyone ate all the food. But it's exciting. I was surprised because the Kruger's told me they sent but still haven't!

Anyway, this week seemed to be really good. I realized now that I'm senior I don't notice the tiny ridiculous things I used to notice everywhere as we walked like I used to. I realized that because Elder Jenkins and I were teaching a lesson to this guy and he was telling me right behind the guy (we were teaching outside) right behind him a guy was like sweeping a sidewalk and then his son just came out and took a dump where the guy was sweeping and the guy who was sweeping was splashing the kids stuff in his own face but just kept doing it and Elder Jenkins told me he was just thinking, "What the smoodle are they doing?" I was wondering how I didn't notice that happening during the lesson. But I remembered I always noticed weird things before happening. So that's probably good that I don't notice now but alsoo sad because I would like to see weird random things happen, does that make sense?

This week was really good though. We were able to teach a lot and find some new people. Tuesday was really good. It was hard because it rained all day and my umbrella was destroyed a couple weeks ago. But it was a light rain. I actually tried to stop and grab an umbrella at this place real quick but this deaf/mute lady walked up to us as we were looking and handed me a note that just said, "Stop, leave!" It was kind of intense so I was confused. Then she wrote of the paper that it was expensive! It was funny because she was a worker there, so it was intense like a lady warning me of danger, but it was just to save 2 dollars on an umbrella. But I didn't buy one. So we just went out and tracted in the rain. We went to a new area I hadn't been to yet called Baranggay San Pedro and started tracting there. We talked to some people and they told us a member was close. Elder Jenkins didn't know a member lived there and neither did I so we went to where they said. We went to a guy and asked if he knew them and then he walked with us to his neighbors house. Then next thing I know we walked back to the other guys house with the member and were teaching him the first lesson! It was just kind of cool how everything worked out. And it was a whole family, they had a fellowshipper when we started teaching them, and I'm excited for them. We have already taught them twice. When we made a return appointment he actually borrowed a pen and wrote it on his calender! (Trust me, that's a big deal man) Usually people just say just when your in the area, try here. Or we make an appointment with them and they forget and aren't home. But they are a really good family and I'm excited for them. We also taught one of our investigators that night, Roxanne, and gave her a baptismal date. She's way good. She said she really wants to be baptized and she knows it's true. But she is still scared to change, and she loves her other church and just has fun at the activities. But her faith is growing and I know the Lord will help her. Just keep her in your prayers, so she can prepare to be baptized next month.

Anyway, last Saturday was the baptism of Gregg Davila. He was that golden investigator I was telling you about. I am really happy for him. He is now the newest member in our ward and I'm excited for the testimony he can give to our investigators and the strength he will be in our ward. It was excited because his friend or one of his workers before (He's a manager at Chow King) baptized him. This member is leaving for his mission in 5 days on Saturday. So I thought that was a really good experience. After the service Gregg bore his testimony at the end. I thought it was really cool. He said at first he didn't prepare anything because he believed that someone would put the words into his mouth he was suppose to say. And he shared a wonderful testimony about his conversion. The kid who baptized him always would ask him at first for Sunday's off work. And it just started off with that example. Gregg thought that was stupid at first and never gave him the day off and he told us of his regret for that. He asked the kid questions about it and the seed was planted. But then 3 years later he finally came to church from the invitations of our Ward Mission Leader and read all of gospel principles and has a really strong testimony now. As I heard his testimony, I thought about how perfect his conversion was and how God helped him through all of it. Even though his parents didn't want him to, he is now an example to them and his testimony is so strong. The process he went through is an example to me exactly how missionary work should happen. Friends and neighbors helping the get interested, overcoming shyness, at least giving place to listen or to learn. And then they do the process between them and our Father in Heaven, and ask him, and feel his spirit. I'm happy for him, he's a great man.

Also we have one really good family that really wants to be baptized. Nelson and Sallie Constantino. They are way excited to be baptized but they are still having problems getting to church. I guess last week they thought their pig was going to give birth. But they have so much faith and understand everything. They just need to work on acting on that faith! So remember them too. I know they'll be great members of the church and a great example to people in that area.

Church this Sunday was really really good. Our church here in Molo starts at 8:30am and it's different because priesthood is first and then Sunday school, and then Sacrament Meeting at 11:30am. When priesthood started, we still had no investigators or less-actives at church. Half-way through priesthood, one of our ward missionaries, Josel, came up and told me one of our families just came in, 5 of them. So I was really excited and they got into all of their classes well. After priesthood we went downstairs and then through the door walked in the Sonz Family. I was so excited and I couldn't stop smiling. Yesterday was Sister Sonz first time to come to church in 18 years. It was awesome. She said she had a really good experience at church. Missionaries have been working with her for a really long time, but she finally came! I was so excited. She said she would go to church with her nonmember friend next week and give us a referral after Elder Adams spoke in sacrament meeting about Missionary Work. So we are really excited for her. I'm so happy that she was finally able to come. She actually promised her son who is a missionary right now on the phone 3 or 4 weeks ago that she would go to church. Just the faith and help of her members and family finally pushed her to come back to church, and I am really happy for the whole family.

Anyway that's basically it. I'm going to go eat now. I love you all and you have a good week.

Love,
Elder Burton
